How it started

The idea for ‘SOKI’ started when Renée, during her 5 years abroad, got inspired by similar concepts. She saw how parents could get their things done while kids were allowed to be kids. A place that parents love as much as their children do.

She realised how valuable this is for modern parenthood. Finding balance between work, life and parenting. All under one safe and welcoming roof. It quickly became clear that such a place was missing for families in the Netherlands: a community-driven space for parents with 1 or more children between 0 and 8 years old.

Two weeks after moving back to the Netherlands, Renée (mom of two) and Iris (expecting her second child) reconnected in the playground. At that time, Iris was ready for a new challenge after her previous business. When she first heard about the concept, she was immediately sold. Renée and Iris realised their skills complemented each other. Together, they formed the ideal partnership to bring SOKI to life and take it to the next level.

With their first location in Amsterdam, SOKI aims to make parenting easier in an affordable way. They want a community space where families feel supported and connected.

Their mission is to empower families by making it easier and more fun!
